Out of Peru is dedicated to promoting our young sterling silver jewellery designers in the UK market to improve not only their living standards but that of their workers. In order to achieve the exqusite quality of the Out Of Peru sterling silver designer jewellery these workers are already the highest paid in the Peruvian jewllery industry.
Out Of Peru traces the raw materials used for its sterling silver jewellery. There are many social and environmental problems related to informal or artisanal mining in Peru. Whilst Out Of Peru recognises that all mining operations will have some form of environmental impact we believe it is not reasonable to boycott mining altogether. However, our designers only buy materials from formal mining operations in Peru which operate under strict environmental regulations and re-invest in local mining communities.
